Envibro System - Design & Guarantee

The bark consists of a flexible dough type material and can also be used as a sealant. Before the bark gets applied to the main steel section the structure is cleaned with a galvanizing cleaner. A barrier system is then applied and left to cure for at least 12 hours, after which the first bark layer is applied, followed by a netting layer with a colour bark layer. The last and final layer is applied as the aesthetic covering and is a multicolour application.

Should a slip joint steel structure configuration be used, the slip joint tolerances will be adhered to. This will ensure that no possible damage may occur during assembly of the tree on site.

Both terminating ends of the bark are then sealed off after the bark application. This ensures that no water filters through in between the bark and the steel during outside storage. (Also refer to SAP010606-6). The bark is terminated at least 150 mm before the tube flange-welding interface. This is done so that welding inspection can be done on a regular basis. All steel sections that are not covered by bark except for the slip joints will be painted with colour-coded suppliers approved paint that matches the colour of the bark.
