Rooftop
System
A
prime location for Telecommunication Base station Sites are on rooftops,
in and around urban areas. This affords a saving on cost and time for
the client as the height of the building is utilized which negates the
use of a tower. Broron Technologies have therefore developed a unique
Rooftop Lattainer Shelter.
These shelters are the same size as used with the Broron Lattainer System,
and will perform the same function. The Rooftop Lattainer houses the same
equipment and corresponds to the construction and insulation specifications
of the standard Broron Lattainer. There is no compromise in the quality,
durability and reliability with the Rooftop Lattainer.
Two Rooftops options are on offer.
The first is that we can build the Rooftop and reticulate it in South
Africa, as with the Standard Lattainer's, and then ship it as a complete
unit.
The second option is to build and reticulate the shelter on site. Shelters
are delivered in a kit form, complete with electrical harnesses transported
to the rooftop site, built, insulated, painted, and reticulated on site.
Another advantage to the Rooftop Lattainer is our unique antenna mounting
design. In the past antenna poles have had to be mounted away form the
equipment shelter on the corners of the building. All the cables were
then run in gantries back to the shelter. This is an expensive and time-consuming
option. Because of our unique Lattainer design, our structure is strong
enough to be used as a ballast.
We mount a six-meter pole on the corner of the Lattainer Shelter. This
is positioned next to the cable entry gland plate. We then are able to
mount the antenna at an approximate height of eight meters above the roof
offering a panoramic view, which cannot be achieved with the standard
equipment shelter. All three antennae, if required, can be mounted on
his pole, including a microwave dish. This results in shorter cable lengths
and a saving on installation time.
