Walls
- Internal walls
shall be 0.6mm silicon polyester baked enamel sheeting.
- External walls
shall be formed panels of commercial quality galvanized sheets (Spelter
Z275).
Thickness varies from 2 mm to 3 mm.
- Polystyrene insulation
to be min. 75mm thick. Density = 16kg/cu.m.
Roof
- The roof shall
have a minimum pitch of 5 Degrees. All joints to be sealed with an approved
waterproofing material, which will ensure a 20 year guarantee on all
waterproofed areas. The cable entry gland plate is located in the roof.
- The minimum insulation
thickness is 75 mm (Polystyrene 16kg/cu.m)
Colour
- Unless otherwise
specified in writing by the client, all external components to be painted
in a white finish. The containers will be painted in a controlled environment
with a coating approved by the client.
- The in-house paint
standard is IVOCRYL water based product.
- All galvanized
surfaces to be washed and treated with the appropriate products prior
to painting.
Door
- The insulated (75
mm min polystyrene) container door to have a minimum opening of 800
mm wide and 2000 mm high.
The door shall be hinged to open outward to the right hand side.
- The door shall
be fitted with the patented recessed locking mechanism as well as the
patented hinge system, which will afford extra security for the container.
- The door shall
be fitted with an internal stainless steel barrel lock, which locks
the door from the inside and prevents the door being locked from the
outside.
- A stainless steel
door restrainer shall be fitted for securing the door in the open position.
- A full perimeter
double silicon gasket water seal to be fitted.
- A 1200 mm x 50
mm drip tray to be fitted at 75 mm above the door (centrally fitted).
- A galvanized removable
stair shall be mounted at the base of the doorway.
Floor
- The floor shall
have a minimum load carrying capability of 500 kg / sq.m.
- The top layer of
the floor will be finished with a 18mm ply marine wood and topped with
black vinyl conductive floor tiles.
- The underside of
the floor shall be insulated with a minimum 75 mm thick polystyrene
insulation.
- A suitable aluminium
edging will be provided between the floor and interior walls.
Locking Mechanism
Unless otherwise specified,
all Lattainer tower containers will use the Broron patented locking mechanism.
Hinge System
The recessed hinge
system will be used unless otherwise specified.
Lock
A client approved
ABLOY lock will be used to secure the locking mechanism.
Design
The structural and
load bearing members of the container shall be designed in accordance
with the procedures employed for the design of the parent structure (the
lattice tower).
Legs
- The legs shall
be manufactured from certified mild steel plate in accordance with SABS
1431/300WA.
- The legs shall
be hot dip galvanized to SABS ISO1461.
Corner Backing
Plates
- The plates shall
be manufactured from certified mild steel in accordance with SABS 1431/
300WA.
- The plates shall
be hot dip galvanized toSABSISO1461.
Stubs and Base
Plates
- The stubs shall
be manufactured from certified mild steel in accordance with SABS 1431/300WA.
- The stubs shall
be hot dip galvanized to SABS ISO 1461.
Note:
- The 36 m tower
base plate is 25 mm thick
- The 54 m tower
base plate is 35 mm thick
Load Transfer Angles
- Load transfer angles
will be included in the arrangement for the 36 m Lattainer towers.
- Refer to Fig 15
for details of these members.
- The angles and
plates shall be manufactured from certified mild steel in accordance
with SABS 1431/ 300WA.
The items shall be hot dip galvanized to SABS ISO 1461.
